Condition labels: new, as is, sold
A label can say what condition the product is in. In Rules › Texts by tag, you pair a Shopify tag (e.g. NEW, AS IS) with a coloured state or a free message; the first match prints on templates that have that field. The Sold template adds order, customer and delivery, typed at print time.
7-day free trial with Pro features (up to 200 labels), once per person and per Shopify store. Afterwards, the Free plan if you choose nothing.
States and messages by tag
- A short state as a coloured badge (NEW in blue, AS IS in red) or a one-line message (e.g. “Minor imperfections”).
- A default state for products with no matching tag.
- Matching ignores case: “new” and “NEW” are the same tag.
Where the state prints
- Classique électro and Fiche électroménager show the state as a badge and the message as a banner; both disappear when the product has none.
- In the editor any text can show the State and Message fields, and be visible only when the product has one.
The “Sold” label
- The Vendu template prints SOLD in large type with the SKU, and three fields typed in the queue at print time: order, customer and delivery.
- Handy for setting aside a display item that is already sold.
Frequently asked questions
Where do I say which product is “as is”?
In Shopify, by adding a tag to the product. In Rules you then link that tag to the state, the message and the colour.
What if a product has two state tags?
The first text in the list whose tag matches wins.
Can the state be in English?
The state text is whatever you write: it does not switch language by itself. The templates’ fixed words (You save, Was, SOLD…) switch to English on a template set to English.
Do the Sold label fields change anything in Shopify?
No. Order, customer and delivery are typed in the print queue for that PDF; nothing is written to the store.
