Price labels for Shopify POS and the register

Krealo Labels is not a point-of-sale app and does not plug into Shopify POS. It prints price and shelf labels for a shop that sells with Shopify, from the same catalog: the variant’s barcode (or SKU as Code 128), the price and the title are the store’s, so what the register reads matches what is stuck on the item.

7-day free trial with Pro features (up to 200 labels), once per person and per Shopify store. Afterwards, the Free plan if you choose nothing.

Étagère 2,25 × 1,25
Carte 3 × 2
Brother 62 × 29

What is printed for the register

  • The variant’s barcode: EAN-13 or UPC-A when it is a valid GTIN, otherwise a Code 128 from the code or the SKU.
  • The SKU as text, the price and the title, with the same data as Shopify.
  • Each variant (size, colour…) gets its own label.

In the shop

  • Scan an item with the phone camera or a USB scanner to find its variant and add it to the queue.
  • Print on Letter or A4 for signs, or on rolls (2.25 × 1.25 in, Brother 62 mm, 4 × 6 in) for shelf labels.
  • When a price changes in Shopify, “To reprint” lists the labels to redo.

Honest limits

  • No extension inside Shopify POS: you print from Krealo Labels, in the browser or in the Shopify admin, not from the register screen.
  • Barcodes depend on the variant: Krealo Labels never invents GTINs.
  • Try your scanner on a test label before a large run.

Frequently asked questions

Does Krealo Labels work inside the Shopify POS app?

No. It adds no screen to POS. You use it in the browser or in the app embedded in the Shopify admin, and it prints labels the register can read.

Will the register read my labels?

It reads the variant’s barcode or SKU, as long as the scanner accepts the printed format (EAN-13, UPC-A or Code 128). Test with your scanner before a large run.

What if a variant has no barcode?

Krealo Labels prints its SKU as Code 128. With neither a code nor a SKU, the label has no bars.

Can the register price and the label price differ?

Both start from the same Shopify price at print time. If the price changes afterwards, the “To reprint” list flags the label that is now wrong.
