Price labels with a QR code
Any label can carry a QR code. By default it opens the product page in your online store: the customer scans it at the shelf and lands on the up-to-date page. In the editor the QR content is free text, where you can also mix in product fields such as the SKU.
7-day free trial with Pro features (up to 200 labels), once per person and per Shopify store. Afterwards, the Free plan if you choose nothing.
What the QR does
- By default it holds the product’s public address in the online store (the URL field).
- In the editor it is an element like any other: position, size in millimetres, colour, and free content of up to 500 characters.
- The Classique électro, Vitrine A4, Carte produit 4 × 6 and Fiche électroménager templates already have one.
For the QR to print
- The product must be active and published in the online store: with no public address, the QR is not drawn.
- The smaller the label, the larger and crisper the QR must stay: test with a phone before a run.
In the app
- The Print page also reads QR codes with the phone camera, besides EAN, UPC and Code 128 barcodes.
Frequently asked questions
Where does a label’s QR code lead?
To the product’s public page in your Shopify online store, unless you change the QR content in the template editor.
Why does my label have no QR?
The product has no public address: it is a draft, archived or not published in the online store. Activate it in Shopify and reprint.
Can I point the QR somewhere else?
Yes, in the template editor: the QR content is free text. For a different address per product, it has to be built from product fields (the SKU, for example).
Does the QR contain the price?
No. It leads to the product page, which shows the store’s current price.
Is the QR sharp when printed?
It is drawn as vectors, square by square, so it is sharp at any size. Reading depends on the printed size and the printer: test with a phone.
